FCRA Registration - Overview


FCRA is a short form of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act that regulates and controls the foreign contributions taking place in India. The primary objective of FCRA Registration Online in India is to decriminalise the receipt of any foreign contribution by domestic organisations and for assuring the proper utilization of the funds for the assigned purpose.

Eligible for FCRA Registration

Section-8 companies registered under the Companies Act.
Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act
Societies registered under the Indian Society Registration Act
The entity must not be prohibited in any form by the provision of the FCRA
. Foreign contribution accepted by the trust shall not risk the life or safety of any individual or shall not resultin any offense.
The NPO for registration must have charitable objectives to serve the society by promoting health, education, economic development, promotion of art, culture, religion, sports, etc.

Helps those organizations which work for the benefit and better of the public and are involved in the social work.
If the organizations are registered under FCRA, it helps the organization lawfully in receiving the foreign contribution or government aids
. An entity registered under FCRA can receive donations from Foreign bodies.

Documents Required For Registration

  • Self-attested copy of incorporation certificate or COI of the entity, trust deed, or any other registered license or certificate that owned by such entity
  • PAN number of NGO
  • Copy of MOA & AOA of the entity and associations
  • Signature of the chief justice in the specified format
  • A detailed record or report on activities of the past three years.
  • Copy of financial statement audited by WEll-skilled and authorized CA, P&L account, details of Income-Expenditure, and statement on the cash flow of the company for the preceding three years.
  • The resolution passed by a governing body empowered by NGO
  • Certificate received as per the section 80G and 12A of Income Tax. According to the Income-tax Act, Section 80G and 12A gives tax exemption to all registered NGOs.

  • Click on the Forms
  • Creating the Username and Password
  • Login Respective Account
  • Start the New Registration Procedure
  • Providing the Relevant Details
  • Providing the Bank Details
  • Uploading Documents in PDF Format
  • Making the Payment
